The 10 Most Dangerous Toys of All Time

It's Black Friday which means the Christmas (holiday?) shopping season is in full gear. If you are looking for the perfect gift for that special someone, you should check out the Radar's list of most dangerous toys ever. The list features classics like Lawn Darts, but also interesting relatively unheard of toys like the Atomic Energy Lab (see above), and the original Cylon toy from Battlestar Galactica (apparently the missile launcher was the same diameter as a child's windpipe). The list is a few years old, but has been updated to include last years most dangerous toy: the GHB* coated Bindeez.

While some of the toys seem innocent enough: the Sky Dancers, the Mini-Hammock. It's baffling that people thought some of these toys were good ideas to give children. Particularly the Atomic Energy Lab. I just can't imagine the parents that thought it was a good idea to gift their children U-238.

*Yes, I know the Bindeez actually had 1,4 butanediol, which is technically a prodrug, which is converted into GHB in vivo by alcohol dehydrogenase then aldehyde dehydrogenase. But heck, GHB sounds better so I'll play my poetic license card.

Unbelievable really! And what else was ridiculous bout Black Friday was that top story in NY where a 34 year old employee was trampled to death by shoppers at a Walmart! Wow.
